FAQs for Bloggers

1) Can I answer a question by posting a link to my blog where I've already discussed a topic?

Yes, certainly!   When you do, please summarize your blog post in a sentence or two before providing a link to your post. Answering questions here can be a good way to get more readers for your blog!

2) If I have a blog post on an interesting money topic, is it permissible for me to ask a question and then answer it myself with a link to my blog post?

Yes, certainly!   If it's a question that's already been asked, please post your answer at the original question instead of creating a duplicate question. When posting a new question, try to phrase your question in a way that other people could participate too. And again, when answering please summarize your blog post in a sentence or two before providing a link to your post.

3) I just spent a lot of time and effort answering a question here, and realized later it would make a great blog post. Can I take my answer from here and use it as the basis for a post on my own blog?

Yes, certainly!   Your answer posted to Basically Money is contributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License, and you still retain rights to use your content elsewhere as you see fit, since you're the author.

I author the website HouseholdBudgetNerd.com.

This is from my About page: HouseholdBudgetNerd.com doesn't address every aspect of household finance. You won't find much here about saving, investing, debt, or insurance. Those advanced financial tasks will not stand without a financial foundation. That foundation is the family's household budget.

HouseholdBudgetNerd.com focuses on the household budget part of family finance, providing tips on budgeting money, family money management advice, and free budget worksheets bringing you financial peace.

Thank you, Nathon | HouseholdBudgetNerd.com: Family Budgets for Both of Us

PS - You can see me listed on BasicallyMoney.com in the right column under "Other Money Sites".
